I can't believe I am just finally getting around to posting these! It was a wonderful morning in Vidalia at YaYa and Papa's house, especially for Lily who was just old enough to figure out that Santa=awesome. There were too many gifts to count, but if you ask Lily what she got for Christmas, all she remembers is that Santa brought her sunglasses. :) After opening presents, we went to Church in our cheesy Christmas clothes (Lily wore a vintage dress from when Aunt Lizza was two!) and sang carols to celebrate Baby Jesus' birthday. The picture at the bottom is my new favorite of our girls together...so cute the way Ginny smiles with her tongue out!

There was a chubby snowman...
Lily had her Christmas program at preschool on the last day before break, and she was all excited to sing the songs she and her classmates had worked so hard to learn. They sang "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" and several other songs, my favorite of which was the "Chubby Snowman" song. She actually taught me the whole thing, complete with hand motions, on the way home from school one day, so I couldn't wait to hear it on the stage:
There was a chubby snowman
And he had a carrot nose.
Along came a bunny
And what do you suppose?
That hungry little bunny
was looking for his lunch,
So he grabbed that snowman's carrot nose
Nibble nibble CRUNCH!
She was one of two 2-year-olds in her class who actually sang and didn't freeze up, but now she refuses to sing the chubby snowman song when I ask her, probably because she knows I think it's the cutest darn thing in the world.
After the singing, we went to her classroom for cookie decorating, snacks, and cute pictures with Baby Ginny.

Auntie Jessica's wedding
On December 10th, my first cousin Jessica was married in a beautiful and unique Christmas-themed wedding. Our girls got all dressed up in their holiday best (everyone in black velvet except Daddy) and Lily danced the night away at the reception. She had on red sparkly shoes and a holly berry bow in her hair, and she was the belle of the winter ball (after the bride, of course).
