Yay Audrey and Auntie T!

Lily got a visit from Tara, Justin, and her "cousin" Audrey last weekend, and we went to the state park to go swimming. Auntie T was the hero of the day, since she was the master toddler wrangler! These two girls have grown up so much since this time last summer (see August 2010)!!

Ginny's First Bath

We gave Ginny her first bath a few weeks ago during Mimi's visit, hoping the warm water would feel good on her poor tummy which has been giving her a lot of trouble and making her very fussy. Her initial reaction was not good...

But once she got used to the water she calmed right down, and since then she has liked her bath, just like her big sister did at this age. Isn't she a teeny little thing in that bathtub?

Big Sister Lily

This has been a week of very big changes in the life of our Lovely Lil' Lily. We welcomed baby sister Virginia Caroline (Ginny) into the family on July 25, and we have been very proud of Lily's transition into the role of big sister. She has been very sweet to Ginny (whom she still calls "Baby Sister") since she met her at the hospital, and she has only needed a few reminders to be gentle. The other night as they were both laying on the floor in Lily's room after her bath, she looked at Ginny and then looked at Jake and I and said, "Got two now." I couldn't have put it better myself. We are learning how to grow from a family of three to a family of four, and so far it's not easy, but we couldn't be happier with our two beautiful girls.

PS- Since we 'got two now,' I will soon be changing the name of the blog, not sure if I will have to change the URL as well or not, so keep checking and I will make sure and post before I do anything!
