New House

We have now been moved into 918 Vinings Dr for 3 weeks, and it has flown by. We have a lot of stuff unpacked but we still have so much to do...the garage is still full of boxes, we have no pictures on the walls, and a few of the bedrooms are painted some wacky (I mean Disney mural wacky) colors that will HAVE to go. Today's project was installing baby gates on the stairs, which Lily loves to climb but does not know how to get down. If we can ever get all the way settled in, I think our family is going to be very happy here. In this picture, we were on our way to hang out with some of the neighborhood families down the street...Yay, new friends!

Packer Pride

It was so exciting to finally experience a Packers' Super Bowl win! Lily got to stay up for the first half (when the Packers were scoring touchdown after touchdown), and after she went to bed they let the Steelers catch back up again, so Jake was threatening to get her out of bed so she could keep being our lucky charm. Thankfully we didn't have to do that, but it was a close one! We let Lily wear her hand-me-down Packers sweatsuit to school on Monday, since one of her teachers is a big Green Bay fan and another one is a Steelers fan. She looks good in green!!

Snow Daze

Please forgive the long delay in postings; our computer/camera have been buried under mounds of our stuff for the past several weeks as we have been moving (will post pictures of the new house soon!). In the meantime, here are some pictures from a few weeks ago, when the Atlanta area received the whopping 4 inches of snow that shut down North Georgia for a week. With no plows and no salt to be found, Lily and I were pretty much homebound until the snow melted, so we had to find creative ways to entertain ourselves. Here we are doing a little bit of "ghetto sledding," i.e., a cookie sheet and some Pam = lots of fun on our sloping front yard!
