Weekend with Ryder and Quinn

Lily finally got to meet her California cousins Ryder and Quinn in Rhinelander last weekend, and they had so much fun. It was long overdue! The 'big kids' were oh so sweet to little Lily and they played very well together. Saturday afternoon was beautiful so we got to hang out outside (Lily discovered grass!), and Quinn loved to hold the baby in her lap, which was especially cute considering that skinny Quinny weighs about 2 pounds more than roly-poly Lily!!

We had a quiet Easter in Chicago...nice brunch at home, trip to church, and a very pretty little girl in her polka-dot dress.

Sweet Sharing

Lily's new favorite game is "sharing," i.e., she gives anything she is playing with or eating to Mommy and Daddy (or Duke if we aren't watching) for us to put in our mouths before she takes it back, because HELLO everything is supposed to go in your mouth and she wants us to experience the deliciousness. Here she is demonstrating with a yummy raw carrot, which I let her num on before her tooth made its debut. It's really cute and Jake and I definitely encourage the generosity, although I have had to pretend to eat a couple of things that I don't find quite as appetizing as Lily does, such as toys, pureed baby food and her personal favorite, a nice wet washcloth in the bathtub.
